Hunter of the Children of the Night

Sierra took a calm breath and walked to Logan's room, knocking lightly on the door. A woman strolling down the hotel corridor gave Sierra a strange look. Sierra wondered how out-of-the-ordinary she looked in her ballgown. Thank goodness vampires were beautiful.

Jane smiled at Sirius, once she found him. "Sierra, went to get Logan. Then I think that we're ready to go." Jane said letting out a sigh.

Sirius nodded. "I'm glas we adopted her... Now, if a vampire attacks you at the ball for any reason- you can kill them because you're not bound by oath. All you have to do... is bite them. One bite, become a vampire. Two bites, dead. Or... a zombie in which case you rip their heads off. Depends what your venom is like." He smiled.

"I'm glad that we did to." Jane said smiling. "Why should I be attacked?" She asked scared now. Jane looked right into Sirius's eyes hoping that he was joking.

"If we get discovered when we're sneaking around..." Sirius let the sentence hang in the air for a moment. "That's why an important vampire like Sierra needs bodyguards."

Jane bit her bottom lip. "Okay, I think that I understand what you're saying." Jane said, looking around. "Wait what do you mean sneaking around?" Jane asked,

Sirius rolled his eyes. "Sure, of course they're just going to ask us into the Lord's keep." He said sarcastically. "I just hope he doesn't recognise me... But he has plenty of generals. I'm sure he won't."

Jane looked at Sirius. "Oh dear." Was all that she could say.

Logan had just managed to get into his tuxedo when Sierra knocked. He answered and just stood there. Sierra looked good in a dress.

Sierra looked Logan up and down. "Oh wow, I didn't know you could actually look tidy." She gave a little half-smile. "So you're ready to go? Got your head out of the clouds? You'll need all your senses now."

Logan smiled at Sierra's remarks and decided not to answer her questions.Instead he offered his arm to her,
"Shall we go, my vampiress?"He said, in his formalist tone.

Sierra nodded and took Logan's arm. "Vampiress? We're not at the ball yet." She had no idea what the cause of his mood swings were. Hiding a smirk, she practically dragged him to her parent's room. She didn't need to start acting like a lady for ages yet- she would be a kid first. She hammered on the door. "Ready to go?"

Sirius rolled his eyes and flitted to the door. "Yes, ready." He appraised Sierra and Logan with his eyes. "Careful now, Sierra. People might start thinking you're older than you are." He smiled.

"If only they knew..."

Sirius offered his arm to Jane. "Time to start being parents acting bodyguards pretending to be parents. Confusing, yes?"

"Very," Sierra answered.

Jane hocked her arm with Sirius's. "Yes I'm ready to go." Jane said "And aye that tis very confusing." Jane said smiling.

Sirius smiled at her. "Now come on Lovebirds." He said to Sierra and Logan just because he knew it would annoy them.

Sierra was fuming. "I think I'm going to turn 21," she said tightly.

"Why?" Sirius asked.

"Because I'm going to commit murder!" Sierra roared and lunged at her father.

Jane walked in front of Sirius to stop Sierra from attacking him. "Stop it right now." She said looking at the two.

Sirius looked as cowed as Sierra. "Alright..." He looked like a naughty child. He shouldn't have teased Sierra.

Sierra stopped her lunge and coughed, embarrassed. "Um... Shouldn't we be going now?"

Sirius, glad of the change in subject, nodded eagerly. "Yes. It's right on the outskirts of London. A disguised castle they call it."

Jane sighed. "Thank you. " She said going to stand by Sirius's side. "Now I expect you to behave Sierra." Jane said sternly.

"Well, tell him to behave too!" Sierra whined,pointing at Sirius and going to stand back by Logan's side now. It was hard to remember that, compared to everyone else, she was the adult and they were the children. Sometimes it confused her.

Jane looked at Sirius. "All right will the both of you behave please?" Jane asked looking at them with sad eyes.

Sirius nodded. "Alright then."

"OK," Sierra added.

*I think we should wait for Ephemera's input.*

"Okay, good that you two will behave." Jane said, trying to stay clam.

Logan ignored the scene unfolding in front of his eyes, he was to wrapped up in his own thoughts. But when he realised it'd stoppd he felt a need to say something, just to prevent himself from being anti-social.
"So, shall we go."he said

Sierra gave a small smile. "Yeah. I'm a bit nervous. And now you've got to call me Vampiress and I hate that." She rolled her eyes and began to walk. Still holding Logan's arm, she began to flit.

Sirius followed perfectly, keeping Jane clutched tight to him in case she stumbling in the super-speed.

Jane was very much scared. "Sirius I'm scared. I'm really scared." Jane said shivering a tad bit.
